EPISODES!
While not everyone experiences mental illness, everyone deals with mental health! Join voice actor, mental health advocate, and human Kennedy Hibbert on her mission to show that mental health struggles do not isolate us, but rather connect us all! We are diving deep with other voice actors, creatives, and mental health professionals who have been where you’ve been as they share their own personal stories of trial and triumph. Together, we will foster real conversations based on understanding, support each other as human beings, and prove that ‘vo’lnerability is something to be proud of!

is a California-born, Arizona-raised creative from a small town and a big family. Her family experienced incredible hardships surrounding mental illness and loss even before she was born. At a very young age, Kennedy was forced to confront some of the most terrifying life truths, to say goodbye to friends and family members, and to learn to carry on despite it all.

ABOUT THE HOST!
Kennedy Hibbert
Diagnosed at sixteen with clinical depression and Generalized Anxiety Disorder following her mother’s battle with breast cancer, Kennedy understands the pain of dealing with mental illness alone and the barriers that sometimes keep us from being vulnerable and seeking help.

However, in the darkest time in her life, Kennedy discovered joy through the art of voice acting, and dedicated herself to pursuing it as a life-long dream and career.

Using the knowledge, empathy, and strength she gained from her experiences, as well as the community she has fostered through her work, Kennedy started “The VOlnerable” podcast” as a way to provide connection and support to those who feel as alone as she once did. She is a living, breathing example that no matter how dark our journeys may get, there is always light. We can and will make it out, and we will thrive.

WHAT ARE WE???
We ARE a casual conversation between two humans discussing their past challenges, how they overcame them, and becoming a connection that can encourage others to seek help and resources.
We ARE a safe space for individuals who have dealt with mental health struggles to listen to real, human stories in a way that inspires connection and promotes a more positive stigma surrounding vulnerability and mental health.

We are NOT therapy. I am not a licensed mental health professional and I am not trained to give medical advice to others. We are supporters, not fixers.
We are NOT a podcast about voice acting/acting. While we generally host voice actors, these talks are not about their careers but rather the people behind them.

GUEST TESTIMONIALS
"I sought out Kennedy, because I saw what she was doing and thought “WOW. This community needs that.” I immediately resonated with the message of the podcast. So I went; I yapped, I cried, I shared experiences that have shaped and helped me, and I felt less alone, which is kinda the whole point!

Kennedy is a fantastic host. I felt safe, comfortable, and at ease chatting about some pretty hard stuff. I seriously hope more folks in the VO space listen in, and apply to get to experience chatting with Kennedy on "The VOlnerable". We all have stories to share, and with Kennedy is a GREAT place to do it."

"It was such an honor to be a guest on "The VOlnerable" podcast. Kennedy was so kind and professional. She made the interview feel safe to share so openly. We had a few good laughs and even deeper realizations. I love the Voiceover industry, and I think it's important to remember that we are feeling beings behind the microphone. Keep up the great work, Kennedy. I can't wait to listen to your next episode."

"Not only is Kennedy an amazing interviewer, kind, insightful, wise beyond her years, and intuitive to other people's emotions, but she's also an incredible friend."

"I was so incredibly honored to talk with Kennedy in the podcast about something I've never talked about much before. I'll admit, I had a lot of fear after the recording, my inner voice rearing its head to tell me I was disgusting and horrible for revealing myself like this. Kennedy has been utterly amazing in this process and so, so encouraging, and I am so grateful to be able to share my story in this way.

What a beautiful thing Kennedy has created. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm so proud of what we put together. Thank you for the spark."
